FERRY CORSTEN（フェリー・コーステン）
1973年生まれの、オランダのダンス・ミュージック・プロデューサー／DJ。ロバート・スミットと共にTSUNAMIレーベルを、単独ではFLASHOVERレーベルを運営。オランダ産トランス（ダッチ・トランス）のトップ・クリエイターとして、DJティエスト、アーミン・ヴァン・ブーレンと並び高い人気を誇っている。
10代の時に音楽活動を始めた彼は、1989年にレコード・デビュー。様々な名義でハウス、テクノ、ブレイクビーツ作品を数多く手がけ、'90年代半ばには実力派のクリエイター／リミキサーとして活躍をみせていた。
そんな彼に転機が訪れたのは1998年末。システム・F名義でリリースしたトランス・トラック「Out Of The Blue」が世界的ヒットを記録し、一躍時の人物に。翌年には、DJティエストとのプロジェクト、グリエラ「Gouryella」、ヴィンセント・デ・ムーアとのプロジェクト、ヴェラコーチャ「Carte Blanche」も連続ヒットし、一気にトランスの象徴的存在へと駆け上がった。2000年にリリースしたアルバム『Out Of The Blue』は、日本でも5万枚を超えるヒットを記録している。
“A Year Of Trance”とうたわれるほどのブームを巻き起こした彼は、その後もシステム・F名義での「Cry」（'00）、「Soul On Soul」（'01）、グリエラ名義での「Walhalla」（'99）、「Tenshi」（'00）など、人気トラックを量産。シーンを牽引する存在として活躍している。また、本名名義での「Punk」（'02）や「Rock Your Body Rock」（'04）では、トランスからの進展をはかるサウンドにチャレンジ。昨年、アルバム『L.E.F.』をリリースしている。
なお、世界的影響力を持つDJランキング、“DJ MAGAZINE DJ TOP 100”での、彼の過去3年間の順位は、2004年度：5位、2005年度：5位、2006年度：6位となっている。
